BMB PhD Program Research Themes

Genetics, Genomics, and Gene Regulation

How changes in gene expression, driven by both genetic and epigenetic factors, influence normal cell function and disease is central to many of our faculty’s research interests. Many of our faculty employ a variety of approaches, from whole genome sequencing to methylomics and single cell RNA-Seq, to understand how changes in the genome and gene expression drive disease.

The faculty below have a particular focus in this area. For other major themes, visit our program scope page.
