Inclement Weather

Students taking onsite classes in Washington, D.C. should check the Johns Hopkins University website’s Emergency, Weather, and Security page for information about campus closings on the Washington, D.C. campus. Winter Institute classes that are to be held in Washington, D.C. will follow the University’s guidance in the case of extreme weather, and this website will display the most up to date information about any unexpected closings or delayed openings. Instructors will communicate to students what their plans for campus closures will be at the start of the course--some faculty will offer asynchronous assignments or recorded lectures, and other faculty may request synchronous participation at the time that the course is scheduled.

By the first day of class, instructors will inform students of contact information for future classes in case there is an emergency.
