BMB PhD Program Research Themes

Chemical Biology and Proteomics

Many of our faculty are interested in understanding how changes in protein expression and posttranslational protein modifications are related to normal cell function and disease states. To explore this relationship, many use a variety of high-throughput proteomics approaches. Chemical biology approaches are also being developed by faculty to modify and enrich for specific types of proteins and protein modifications.

The faculty below have a particular focus in this area. For other major themes, visit our program scope page.
