Angela Chen, PhD, PMHNP-BC, RN

Angela Chia-Chen Chen (PhD, RN, PMHNP-BC) is an associate professor in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University. Her research interests include HIV/STI and substance abuse prevention, and mental health issues among ethnic minority and immigrant youth, HPV vaccine promotion, cross-cultural research, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and instrument development/testing. She is also a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who provides evidence-based treatments to individuals with mental and behavioral issues.

Professor Chen is an affiliate faculty member with ASU Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center (SIRC) and the Asian Pacific American Study Program at School of Social Transformation. She served as a visiting professor with University of California-San Francisco's Center for AIDS Prevention Studies from 2011-2013.
