38-Week Dietetics Practicum

During the practicum, students participate in practice rotations in areas of clinical nutrition, food service and community nutrition, as well as an eight-week public health rotation. Rotations may include the following:

    Cardiology
    Center for a Livable Future
    Clinical Management
  • Diabetes
    Medicine
    Moveable Feast
    Neurology
    Nutrition Support
  • Oncology
    Outpatient Clinics
    Pediatrics
    Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
    Public School
    Surgery
    WIC
  • Food Service
    Call Center/Patient Services
    Retail and Catering
    Production and Purchasing
    Food Service Management
  • Public Health (8 weeks)
    Students will select and secure a public health rotation site with guidance from faculty and staff.
  • Vacation (3 weeks)
    Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays
