Wynne E. Norton, PhD, is a Health Scientist Administrator in the Implementation Science Team in the Division of Cancer Control and Prevention Sciences at the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, Maryland. Previously, she was a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. Dr. Norton received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on advancing the science of implementation in health care and public health, with a particular emphasis on implementation science training programs, investigating de-implementation processes and outcomes, and scale-up and spread of evidence-based practices and programs. She was a Fellow in the Implementation Research Institute (IRI; 2010-2012) funded by NIMH and the VA and is the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the Implementation Network e-newsletter and website which provides late-breaking information about implementation science in health to researchers, practitioners and policymakers worldwide.
