About This Program
The 2023 Winter Institute was a huge success! Check back later this year for information about our 2024 Winter Institute -- registration will open in October!
The Winter Institute is an opportunity both for part-time degree candidates and non-degree seeking students alike. Courses cover several public health disciplines including biostatistics, epidemiology, international health, environmental health sciences, molecular microbiology and immunology, health policy and management, and reproductive health.
The 2023 Winter Institute will be held January 4 - 20, 2023. Registration for courses will be possible from October 3, 2022 to December 30, 2022. However, after this date, it is still possible for students to add (or drop) courses*.
Degree-seeking students who miss the registration deadline and the add/drop deadline below cannot use SIS to register and must request assistance from the Office of Student Enrollment and Account Management (SEAM). Students who are not enrolled in a degree program at Johns Hopkins University and/or students who wish to register not for academic credit should continue to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance with their registration.
*Since students attending onsite courses will need to comply with JHU COVID-19 protocols, we want to give them adequate time to prepare. For this reason, registration for all onsite courses will close approximately two weeks before the first onsite class in that particular course. Similarly, it will not be possible for students to “add” onsite courses during the add/drop period.
Registration for onsite courses starting on January 9, 2023 will close on December 23, 2022. Registration for onsite courses starting on January 17, 2023 will close on December 30, 2022.
