2023 Academic Credit Tuition Rate: $1321 per credit
2023 Non-Credit Tuition Rate: $661 per credit

Cost per Credit Unit for Courses Taken for Academic Credit

Tuition for courses taken for academic credit for the 2023 Academic Year is $1,321 per credit.

Cost per Credit Unit for Courses Taken for Non-Credit

Tuition for courses taken for non-credit/professional development in the 2023 Epi Biostat Summer Institute is $661 per course credit unit.

 

Students who take courses for non-credit do not receive an official grade and will not receive a BSPH transcript upon completion of the courses.

Special Non-Credit Tuition Rates

The $661/credit rate applies to all courses taken for non-credit except:

 Data Analysis Workshop I $1321 per credit (non-credit)
 Data Analysis Workshop II $1321 per credit (non-credit)
Advanced Data Analysis Workshop $1321 per credit (non-credit)

 

Special Discount for concurrent, non-credit enrollment in the three foundation courses:

Principles of Epidemiology or Epidemiologic Inference in Public Health I  
  Statistical Reasoning I  
  Statistical Reasoning II $5300

Space permitting, applications are accepted until the start of class.

However, students are strongly encouraged to register by June 9, 2023 to ensure receiving course confirmation and to avoid cancellations. For questions about courses, registration, or housing please contact Ayesha Khan (akhan6@jhu.edu; 410-955-7158).

 

Payment

Full payment for tuition (and housing, if desired) is requested with the application. Payments may be made online at the time of registration. If mailing a payment, it should be sent to: The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Student Accounts Office, 615 N. Wolfe Street, Suite W1101, Baltimore, MD 21205.

Full payment must be received before your course begins. The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

Please contact us for bank information if paying by wire transfer. 

Registrants financed by agencies such as the World Health Organization or the federal government must submit purchase orders or contract documents with their application.

JHU Employee Tuition Support

  • Full-time benefits-eligible faculty or staff members employed by JHU for 120 days or more and continuing in a full-time position are eligible for tuition remission benefits

  • Eligible Johns Hopkins University employees have a maximum benefit of $5,250 annually in tuition support for academic credit courses that are not part of a degree program.

  • Eligible Johns Hopkins University employees have a maximum benefit of $10,000 annually in tuition support for academic credit courses that are part of a degree program.

  • Johns Hopkins University employees receive 100% remission for non-credit professional development. There is an annual limit of 2 classes per calendar year for non-credit professional development courses.

Tuition Support for JHU SOM Post-Doctoral Fellows

The School of Medicine will cover the tuition for one non-credit course per Institute term for their post-doc fellows. Contact the School of Medicine Registrar’s Office via email to obtain a Verification of Enrollment form. 

Students should contact BSPH Student Accounts and Business Services with any questions regarding billing and payments.
