Cancellation Policies

The Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, in which event the full enrollment fee for the course(s) will be refunded.

If a course is cancelled or closed, the applicant is notified immediately and a full refund is processed automatically unless another course is requested.

Notification of withdrawal from the Summer Institute of Epidemiology and Biostatistics must be made in writing. Please notify Ayesha Khan by email (akhan6@jhu.edu) or mail: Graduate Summer Institute of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, 615 North Wolfe Street, Room W6508, Baltimore, Maryland 21205.

Students who wish to withdraw from the Summer Institute, or Add/Drop a course during the add/drop period, must make changes to their registration through SIS. Students will receive a 100 percent tuition refund for any withdrawals made during the posted add/drop period. There is no tuition refund after the posted add/drop date.  Please note, not attending classes is not the same as dropping a course. Students who register but do not attend their course and fail to drop their course registration will be responsible for tuition charges. Students should contact Student Accounts and Business Services BSPH.cess@jhu.edu with any questions regarding this policy.

Refunds will be processed by the same payment method as the original course registration. The processing time for refunds for withdrawals or due to schedule changes is approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the Summer Institute.
