William C. Clarke III

Bill Clarke graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in finance and spent 30 years as a founding partner of Campbell & Company, a Baltimore based hedge fund. Serving as Executive VP of Research, he oversaw the development of successful trading models specializing in futures markets. He retired in 2007 to pursue philanthropy full time through his newly established family foundation, The Osprey Foundation. 

As a catalyst for change, the foundation has concentrations in WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) issues, clean cooking in the developing world and interfaith thinking. Personal contact through travel is particularly important to him in developing a close rapport and understanding of grantees and the issues they are working to solve. In addition to serving on the HAB, he also serves on the Impact Investment Advisory Committee for Ground Up Investing, an arm of Corus International. 

Mr. Clarke proudly drives an EV and lives in a LEED Platinum home as part of his commitment to a healthy and sustainable planet.
