Irene C. Frary
Irene Frary, MBA, has been a member of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Advisory Board for more than a decade.
A long-time advocate for women’s reproductive health and rights, Irene was one of the founders of Council 2000, a development project for NARAL Pro-Choice America as well as a board member of NARAL Pro-Choice New York and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.
Irene and her husband, Richard Frary, are active participants in the Public Health in Action programs as well as providing support for student scholarships and faculty and student research projects at BSPH.
In addition to their belief in the “power of public health” and their involvement with the Bloomberg School, Irene and Richard Frary respect and support the concept of “One Hopkins." They have been leaders within the University for more than 40 years providing support for the Krieger School of Arts and Science and The Sheridan Libraries in Baltimore as well as the Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC.
Irene has a BA in Visual Arts from Goucher College and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia Graduate School of Business. She worked in strategic marketing and account management at Ogilvy & Mather, New York.
