Bob Carr, MD, MPH ’86, FACPM, is a seasoned physician leader, educator, consultant, and executive coach, known for his expertise across digital health, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products industries.
Currently, Dr. Carr serves as Chief Medical Officer and Board Member at Kumanu, a cutting-edge technology company that leverages neuroscience, AI, machine learning, and behavior change models to build scalable and lasting digital platforms that drive positive, transformative outcomes. Additionally, he is Chief Medical Officer for PFS, a SDVOSB, where he provides leadership and medical counsel on health system innovation, operational efficiency, biomedical informatics, life sciences, public health, program evaluation, workforce resiliency, and behavior change.
Previously, Dr. Carr was President of the American College of Preventive Medicine, an organization devoted to advancing preventive medicine and population health. His academic roles include serving as Professor and Director of the Executive Master’s Program in Health Systems Administration and Associate Professor at Georgetown University. He also spent 25 years at GlaxoSmithKline as Senior Vice President & Corporate Medical Director, and earlier in his career, served 12 years as a Flight and Preventive Medicine Specialist with the US Air Force.
Dr. Carr is currently the Executive Director of AEGIS Lab, a social impact incubator, and serves on the Advisory Board of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is also a Board Member for Remo Health, a digital care navigation platform supporting caregivers of patients with neurodegenerative diseases, and the Honor Flight Network, which honors veterans by facilitating visits to Washington, D.C. memorials in their honor.
Dr. Carr earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health with a residency in Preventive Medicine.
