Initiative to Advance Implementation Science in Nutrition
Generating & Disseminating Evidence
The Initiative to Advance Implementation Science in Nutrition is a collaboration between the Vitamin Angel Alliance* and the Center for Human Nutrition at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Initiative was created in 2022 to facilitate the advancement of implementation science in the area of maternal, infant, and young child nutrition (MIYCN).
Through the Initiative to Advance Implementation Science, we: 1) address barriers to effective and quality implementation of evidence-based nutrition interventions; 2) share access to technical expertise and a vast network of government, NGO, and academic partners; and 3) generate and analyze data, disseminate knowledge, and facilitate global advocacy of evidence that can accelerate effective introduction and/or scaling of evidence-based nutrition interventions.

Our Team
Our team is composed of public health nutritionists from the Vitamin Angel Alliance and the Center for Human Nutrition and is governed by an advisory committee with representatives from both organizations.

Team members from the initiative have co-authored papers in a variety of scientific practice publications and reports.
