In collaboration with Ifakara Health Institute, JHSPH researchers conducted formative research to generate information on the willingness and acceptability to take mobile phone surveys in Tanzania. The team also conducted user-testing and evaluated the feasibility of conducting nation-wide mobile phone surveys and the role of incentives in increasing response rates. Current work involves comparing reliability of different MPS modalities (IVR vs SMS), and reasons for non-response.
