The Early Childhood Services Research Program is located in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. We are dedicated to conducting high quality, utilization-focused research and evaluation across the United States to improve the life course of vulnerable expectant families and families with young children.
Our work supports the development and scale up of stakeholder-driven “precision early childhood services.” We advance the use of innovative research methods to hasten the translation of research into policy and practice. We lead the field in research:
- to learn how program implementation influences outcomes;
- to describe and better understand provider-family communication; and
- to strengthen the coordination of home visiting (HV) with other services in early childhood systems of care.
