Chair: 1960-1966
Faculty Member: 1960-1984
Dr. Allyn Kimball joined the Department as Professor and Chair in July of 1960. At the same time, he established and served as chair of the Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences of Johns Hopkins University. In 1966, he stepped down as chair from both departments to serve as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. He returned full-time to the Department of Biostatistics in 1970. Dr. Kimball was appointed Professor Emeritus in 1984. He passed away on October 27, 2007.
