Student Projects: Human Subjects Research and Other Activities

Regardless of whether IRB review is required, all students should apply ethical principles in their interactions with humans and/or their data. Please follow the BSPH Ethical Code for Student Activities that Involve Human Interactions.

  1. IRB Office Preliminary Determinations for possible human subjects research activities for MPH and Other Degree Students
  2. Submitting a new PHIRST (Public Health Institutional Review Submission and Tracking) application for human subjects research activities.
  3. Guidelines for Use of Surveys, Interviews or Other Forms of Data Collection in JHSPH Courses.
  4. Thesis Documentation Form for IRB/ACUC approval for Doctoral Students.
