Umesh’s work focuses on wave energy, ocean sensing, wave-body interactions; complex systems dynamics, resilience; applications spanning multiple disciplines, from energy-systems resilience to public health. He is best known for his work in utilization of ocean waves for energy.

David Love, PhD, MSPH, is an expert in food systems and sustainability. His work focuses on the environmental, social, health, and food system issues related to aquaculture and fisheries.

Shawn McKenzie, MPH, director of the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future, leads efforts to make the world's food systems more healthy, equitable, and sustainable.

Martin Stephens, PhD, promotes new methods of biomedical research and testing that are more relevant to human health than are traditional animal-based approaches.
