School-Wide Virtual Info Sessions


Cultivating Community & Belonging as First Generation and BIPOC Students

Our School recognizes the unique lived experiences of our students and aims to create space and opportunities for all members of our community to feel valued and supported. The Office of Inclusion, Diversity, Anti-Racism, and Equity (IDARE) invites you to join us to learn more about our efforts to cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment on campus and in our community. Each session will provide participants an opportunity to learn more about the initiatives and resources offered by the IDARE office, as well as insights into the experiences of current students who identify as BIPOC, first-generation and/or underrepresented or underserved minorities.

The Bloomberg School has over 80 research institutes and centers. During a panel discussion learn from faculty, center staff and current students about the research opportunities master's and doctoral students get involved with and projects associated with the centers and institutes. Our Virtual Open House included:

  • A welcome from the Dean and introduction to the Bloomberg School
  • Zoom breakout sessions with departments and programs - Chat with representatives from all our academic departments and degree programs. Learn more about our academic offerings, including master's and doctoral degrees, online learning opportunities, certificate programs, and much more.
  • A virtual meet and greet with representatives from Career Services, Student Disability Services, Financial Aid, and Student Assembly and other groups
