Take Classes as an Alum

If you are a Bloomberg School alum, you have access to several non-credit course experiences after you graduate.

On-Cycle Online Courses

On-cycle, non-credit enrollments give alumni the opportunity to listen to online lectures, participate in group discussions, and interact with faculty and students for a 50 percent tuition discount. To enhance the online experience, participants are be expected to interact fully, and to complete all related course work. See the list of online courses and the terms in which they are offered. Please note that completion of these courses do not lead to any JHSPH credentials.

To participate:

  1. Register for and complete the Introduction to Online Learning course.
  2. Contact the faculty member of the online course in which you wish to enroll and obtain written permission to participate (email approval is sufficient.)
  3. Submit the registration form for online course with payment (we only accept credit card payments) to the Center for Teaching and Learning. The form can be e-mailed to jhsph.ctl@jhu.edu or faxed to 410-955-4941.
  4. Registrations must be received no later than seven business days prior to the start of a course. Registrations received after that deadline will not be processed.
  5. After your registration has been processed, there is no provision for a refund or to withdraw from the course.

Approval and access is contingent upon your successful completion of the Introduction to Online Learning, and space availability in the course.

Off-Cycle Online Courses

Alumni may also choose to participate in online non-credit courses "off-cycle." Off-cycle enrollment allows students to listen to online lectures, navigate the course website, and access course-related materials without faculty or student interaction. For $100, alumni may access select courses during a defined period for a maximum of eight weeks. Please note that completion of these courses do not lead to any JHSPH credentials.

To participate:

  1. Register for and complete the Introduction to Online Learning course.
  2. Submit registration form and payment (only credit card payments will be accepted) to the Center for Teaching and Learning. The form can be e-mailed to jhsph.ctl@jhu.edu or faxed to 410-955-4941.
  3. Students may register at any time during the eight-week cycle. However, access to the online course will only continue until the end of cycle date.

After a registration has been processed, there is no provision for refund or to withdraw from the course.

Access is contingent upon your successful completion of the Introduction to Online Learning course.
