Funding for Students

An eligible publication by a doctoral student must be on a topic beyond that required for the dissertation. It is the first incentive of its kind within the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.

This fund provides an award to a faculty member or student whose research fosters biostatistical research and practice to advance our understanding of human health and disease.

This fund, created in honor of long-time faculty member Leon Gordis, MD, DrPH ’68, MPH ’66”, will be used to enhance and expand the teaching opportunities for doctoral students in the Department of Epidemiology.

This fund will support graduate student education at the junction of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the School.

The scholarship supports graduate training and research in epidemiology.

Established in 1970 as the International Health Fund, this fund provides grants to masters or doctoral students in the Department of International Health who are completing their degrees. For 37 years Nancy Stephens was an immensely popular student coordinator in the Department of International Health. At her retirement in 2001, Dr. Robert Black, chairman of the Department, honored her by renaming this fund the Nancy Stephens Student Support Fund.

Provide doctoral funding in order to recruit the best and brightest students who help to advance the mission of the Department. 

Established by Procter & Gamble in 2003, this fund supports masters, doctoral and post-doctoral students committed to advancing the health and well-being of women and children through the provision of clean water and improved nutrition.

The fund will support the School's education and research mission in Human Nutrition, in particular innovative research conducted by graduate students and junior faculty.

The gift will be used to benefit the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response
