All Institute courses will be taught on-line. Asynchronous on-line courses (course # ends in .89) combine pre-recorded content and live interactive sessions. Virtual online courses (course # ends in .79) will be taught on-line via Zoom, on the dates and times the course is scheduled. Hybrid courses have both a synchronous online section (course # ends in .49) and an in-person section (course # ends in .11).
Most of the Epi Biostat Summer Institute courses are offered as hybrid courses, with both an in-person or online section. Students are able to select the course format they prefer when registering in SIS.
Onsite Courses (section ending in .11): The University requires that each onsite participant show proof of appropriate COVID-19 vaccination prior to coming on campus for classes. Information about the vaccination and booster requirement is here: https://covidinfo.jhu.edu/health-safety/covid-vaccination-information/.
Onsite courses require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster with either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
- JHU degree students and students taking courses for academic credit should use the JHU Vaccine Management System to submit their proof of vaccination or to request an exception.
- Students taking courses not for credit must email their proof of vaccination or request for exemption to summerepi@jhsph.edu.
Proof of vaccination or request for exemption must be received a minimum of 1 week before the first class to attend an onsite course. If we have not received your vaccination record by the deadline, we can transfer your registration to the online version of the course.
it is recommended that students register for onsite courses at least two weeks in advance of the first day of class.
