This course is great for understanding how budgets work within a project and research-based setting. It gives you the skills for developing budgets and understanding of what to look for when evaluating a budget. It is a very practical class that should be required.
I really liked how the instructor explained topics to us as future public health scholars/project managers. I feel like I gathered a lot of knowledge that would help me in the future. One of my best friends is an accountant in Grants and Contracts Accounting at a major public university, and when I told her about this course, she was so happy that BSPH is preparing future PIs to know how to handle their funding.
This class was excellent! The content was relevant and at an appropriate level for MPH candidates. I wish my employer offered the same budget training and in this format. I actually enjoyed the course - who'd have thought?! The instructor also gave great, individual feedback - and so fast! Thank you for a fun course!
