Ski and Snowboard Injury Study on the Internet

The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health today announced the launch of a website designed to collect injury data directly from thousands of skiers and snowboarders worldwide who have been injured on the slopes--the first study of its kind.

Drinking Polluted Water May Increase Risk of Esophageal Cancer

A five-year study of men aged 40 and above in Shanghai, China, has found that those who drank water from a polluted downstream section of the Huangpu River were approximately 2.8 times more likely to develop esophageal cancer than men who didn't.

The mortality rate has risen and household size has diminished among North Korean migrant families from which at least one member has fled to China, according to a recent study by relief experts at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Media Visits

The Bloomberg School requires all media guests–including print and electronic reporters, photographers, producers, and videographers–to coordinate with a Bloomberg School media representative in advance of their visit, ideally with 48-hours notice. This applies to all School-affiliated buildings, offices, and facilities. 

Bloomberg School media guests will be accompanied by a communications staff member throughout their entire visit.
