A study exploring the impact of motor vehicle injuries in Pakistan has found that as many as 61 percent to 86 percent of such injuries may go uncounted in official police statistics, causing Pakistan to underestimate the problem's seriousness.

The death rate of Ethiopian children under the age of five can be significantly reduced by a local program that trains mothers to teach other mothers how to recognize the symptoms of malaria in their children, and promptly treat them at home.
