Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has appointed Susan G. Sherman, PhD, MPH, as a Bloomberg Professor of American Health in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society.

Edyth Hull Schoenrich, a JHSPH faculty member for more than 50 years and former director of the Bureau of Chronic Diseases of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, died Saturday, September 12. She was 101.

Mark Rosekind, the fifteenth administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation joined the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Distinguished Policy Scholar on September 1.
