HIV Treatment Not Affected by Hormonal Birth Control

Estrogen and progesterone hormones in birth control do not influence the effectiveness of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), which is used to treat HIV infection, according to researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and other institutions.

School Researchers Receive Fogarty Injury Grant (web article)

As part of the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health, two researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will receive a grant to train researchers at the Aga Khan University, in Pakistan. The collaborative effort will attempt to tackle the increasing global burden of trauma and injury.

Media Visits

The Bloomberg School requires all media guests–including print and electronic reporters, photographers, producers, and videographers–to coordinate with a Bloomberg School media representative in advance of their visit, ideally with 48-hours notice. This applies to all School-affiliated buildings, offices, and facilities. 

Bloomberg School media guests will be accompanied by a communications staff member throughout their entire visit.
