 pharmacoepidemiology; the social, economic, and commercial determinants of health, including those that enabled the opioid epidemic; areas of private provision of public services, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, and value-based and alternative payment models; aging; Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

Overview

Dr. Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves as Core Faculty in the Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research (CHSOR) and the Hopkins Business of Health Initiative

He received his BA in Political Science and BS in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University. He subsequently worked in India as a Research Associate for the MIT Jameel Poverty Action Lab. He graduated from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Osler Medical Training Program within the Urban Health track. He completed the National Clinician Scholars Program and received a Masters of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
