Overview

I am an assistant scientist in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My research interests focus on mobile health applications, longitudinal and group-based trajectory models, as well as big data and computational statistics. My primary effort involves providing statistical consultation at the Johns Hopkins Biostatistics Center, particularly on projects involving various biostatistical aspects including latent class analysis, survival analysis, and meta-analysis. I am serving as the primary lead statistician on several diverse projects and contribute to the development of successful grant applications for clinical trials and observational studies. Additionally, I enjoy teaching and mentoring students.

Prior to joining JHU, I conducted my postdoctoral research at Boston University School of Public Health. During this time, I worked on several projects within the Electronic Framingham Heart Study, which involved collecting data from a smartphone app paired with a wireless blood pressure device and smartwatch to monitor heart rates and step counts. My primary focus was investigating factors associated with long-term use of mobile and digital technologies and examining how these mobile and digital phenotypes relate to cardiovascular disease risk factors.
