The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly been a turning point in health service delivery for national health systems around the world. This seminar aims to provide a global overview of how the pandemic has impacted the health workforce and health service delivery, and research efforts directed towards assessing and improving these two domains. The presentation and discussion will provide examples from across the globe, with a particular focus on the Members States of the European Union, as well as from countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
