Suicide is a leading cause of death in the US. This course offers training to enhance your capacity to monitor and address suicide in your community.
Provides advanced training in suicide prevention. Covers etiological factors and mechanisms, epidemiology, surveillance, prevention strategies, and promising policies. Emphasizes suicide risk among vulnerable populations.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Critically evaluate approaches to suicide prevention at the local, state, and national levels
- Analyze sources of data on suicide

This course is evaluated as follows:

There will a 1 hour break for lunch and two 15-minute breaks each day
