Are you interested in unique approaches used to monitor the fidelity and performance of digital health interventions?
Would you like to learn how innovation in digital tools, including phone surveys, can be used for research?
Reviews necessary components of the digital health ecosystem that need to be addressed in order to develop and implement a successful digital health intervention. Provides an understanding of the different methods used to develop digital health interventions, including user-centered design. Explains the frameworks for the monitoring, evaluating, and reporting evaluation of digital health programs and interventions. Provides hands-on experience in developing digital data collection tools. Reviews components of successfully scaled digital health programs using both case studies and established guidelines.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Describe essential components for implementing a digital health intervention
- Differentiate strengths and weaknesses of evaluation methods for a digital health intervention
- Explain key reporting requirements for a digital health document
- Select quantitative and qualitative data collection methods appropriate for a given digital intervention
- Develop an implementation and evaluation plan for a digital intervention
- Design an SMS-based behavior change communication intervention using open-source technology platform
