Public Health Week

April 4–April 8, 2022

We stand for public health, because public health stands for us.

Join us for a week of programming to help you build your public health network, develop your professional skills, engage with BSPH students, and support the public health workforce.

Build Your Network

Join the Alumni Relations team for programming throughout the week to enhance your public health network.

Attend a mixer in Patterson Park, connect with the JHU community from around the world through our virtual Interest Area Networks, or attend a Spotlight Series.

Professional Development

Join Career Services and the BSPH Communications team for sessions throughout the week.

Take a crash course on using social media to promote Public Health, enroll in a refresher course on how to better utilize LinkedIn, or learn how you can, and should, be using mentors throughout your entire career.

Engage with Students

Join several student-groups for virtual and in-person opportunities to connect with students and build bridges for a healthier future.

Student groups will be featuring panel discussions on many aspects of global health. All events will be accessible virtually and a select few will have a hybrid option. Please reach out to the moderator of the event through the registration form for questions about hybrid options.

Stop Harassment & Violence Against the Public Health Workforce

The STOP! Partner Group – a collaboration between the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and over 16 multi-disciplinary partners representing public health, law enforcement, government, national associations, philanthropy, public health law, and advocacy – is working to better support, protect, and assure the safety of our public health workforce to enhance service delivery and public health protections for communities.

A new study found that more than half of surveyed local public health departments had been targets of harassment. Learn more about the actions needed to protect public health workers, and join the partnership by visiting the links below.
