Dr. and Mrs. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr., Scholarship in the Department of Epidemiology
Dr. and Mrs. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr., established the award in 2000 in honor of Dr. Moore’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe M. Moore, Sr., of Richmond, Virginia. The scholarship supports a doctoral student, with preference given to graduates of historically black colleges and universities. Dr. Moore is an assistant surgeon general in the U.S. Public Health Service, and associate director for Development Support and African Affairs in the office of International and Refugee Health.
