Overview

I aim to leverage molecular and clinical data with the social determinants of health in observational settings to improve cancer outcomes in people with HIV, gaining understanding of mechanism and what it means at the population level. My research in cancer among people with HIV spans the cancer care continuum, ranging from cancer etiology and cancer screening to cancer burden and cancer outcomes through the lens of disparities. I am continually developing expertise in large, collaborative, observational research and the appropriate methodology effectively answer questions that impact the health and wellbeing of people with HIV in North America with particular interest in how epidemiologic and statistical methods can be employed to meet the challenges of utilizing EHR data.
