Overview
Dr. Aizire is committed to improving public health through advancing medical and infectious disease research, and teaching epidemiology. He has more than 15 years experience conducting multi-center international collaborative research studies including clinical trials and epidemiological studies.

Dr. Aizire's current collaborative research relates to HIV: prevention; ART; reproductive health; HIV-exposed-uninfected (HEU) child morbidity and survival; and co-infections such as HBV, TB among others. He is a Co-investigator and the Coordinator of the JHU-Blantyre Clinical Trial Unit (CTU); the multi-country PEPFAR PROMOTE Cohort Study; and the HIV and Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Uganda: the H2U Consortium.
