Overview
Patti Truant Anderson is an associate in the Department of Health Policy and Management, and a senior program officer at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future (CLF). At CLF, she plays a central role in developing, implementing, and evaluating activities that engage the public health field in agriculture and food systems policy at domestic and global levels.
Dr. Anderson completed her public health training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her dissertation research focused on risk communication and policy issues surrounding bisphenol A (BPA), an estrogenic chemical which became widely known due to its former presence in baby bottles. She is a public health practitioner with expertise in effective public health communication, with a particular focus on food systems, risk, and environmental health. Her past experience includes work in government, the non-profit sector, and research settings. Most recently, she directed efforts to support graduate student and trainee health and well-being at Johns Hopkins University.
