Overview
Dr. Jaar is interested in the conduct of epidemiologic studies in the field of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease and its related complications. His personal research interest is currently focused on outcome studies of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients and morbidity and mortality of ESRD patients by dialysis modality. He is involved in several research projects at the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research, and with collaborators at several outside institutions.
