Overview
Minear has been a part time Associate Faculty member at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health since 2001, where he teaches a graduate class entitled Health Management Information Systems. He has taught over 1,140 graduate students from 27 countries, and has won multiple faculty awards for exceptional teaching.

Minear has worked in the health care industry for over 43 years. He is a national leader in health care information technology and has an extensive record of leading transformations of large, complex organizations in the use of modern information technology.

He is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and a member of the senior executive leadership team of the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). He was previously the Chief Information Officer at the University of California Davis Health System, Senior Vice President and CIO at the University of Maryland Medical System, Vice president and CIO at Health System Minnesota in Minneapolis, CIO of the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics, and Vice President at Medicus Systems.

Minear has a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University in medical informatics, a graduate certificate in biomedical informatics from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa with a double major in finance and financial economics.
