The Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions (HCHDS) is excited to host the 3rd installment of our 2024/2025 Quarterly Workshop Series, focusing on equity-centered and community-engaged research approaches to firearm violence prevention.
This session will highlight case studies from Washington State, showcasing innovative strategies that integrate public health, policy, and community-driven solutions to address firearm-related harm.
Our featured speaker, Dr. Ali Rowhani-Rahbar, is a leading researcher and the Bartley Dobb Professor for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of Washington. His work focuses on evaluating community-based interventions, social programs, and policies to prevent firearm-related violence. In recognition of his contributions, he was elected to the National Academy of Medicine (2023) and the Washington State Academy of Sciences (2024).
