As generative AI (artificial intelligence) continues to transform higher education, it's crucial to examine its role in the assessment process. This interactive workshop invites faculty and teaching assistants to explore the complex question: How should we respond to AI's impact on assessment? Should we embrace it, adapt to it, or resist it?
Join us in this workshop to discuss how AI impacts assessment as a learning activity. Learn how to:

  • Apply assessment strategies that ethically embrace faculty and student use of generative AI
  • Apply authentic assessment strategies that resist generative AI

You will leave this workshop with actionable next steps to navigate AI's evolving role in your assessments and your students' learning.
Zoom registration(link is external) is required. Before the workshop, familiarize yourself with generative AI by checking out this Teaching @ JHU resource on Generative AI Tool Guidance.
