The Johns Hopkins Center for Women's Health, Sex, and Gender Research is thrilled to announce our upcoming event An Evolutionary Journey into Modern Women's Health Medicine to take place Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 at 3:30pm in Sommer Hall at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. This exciting event will feature NYT Bestselling Author Cat Bohannon, PhD presenting on her recent book, Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution, followed by a reception and book signing opportunity!
This exciting event is co-sponsored by: the Johns Hopkins Provost Office, the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the JH-BIRCWH Program, the Johns Hopkins Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, the Johns Hopkins Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health, and the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics.
Cat Bohannon is a researcher and author with a Ph.D. from Columbia University in the evolution of narrative and cognition. Her essays and poems have appeared in Scientific American, Mind, Science Magazine, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, The Georgia Review, The Story Collider, and Poets Against the War. She lives with her family in Seattle.
