Housing instability and intimate partner violence are mutually reinforcing and compromise community safety and stability. Intimate partner violence is a primary driver for homelessness, and shelter and housing consistently make up 60% of unmet needs for survivors of intimate partner violence.
Join us on January 9 for a webinar highlighting the need for victim service programs to engage with their local continuums of care so we can ensure that intimate partner violence survivors experiencing homelessness are included in national counts in a way that protects their confidentiality and safety. Featuring remarks from the National Network to End Domestic Violence's Deputy Director of Housing Policy and Practice, Debbie Fox; new research led by Michele Decker, Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Women's Health & Gender Equity; and practice considerations from Janice Miller, Senior Housing Associate with the Technical Assistance Collaborative. This webinar will include guidance on identifying and engaging your local Continuum of Care in a mutually beneficial partnership that strengthens your communities' coordinated response to intimate partner violence.
Please note this event date has changed from December 13 to January 9, 2024.
