About Dr. Susan Chemerynski

Dr. Chemerynski is an associate practice professor in the Department of Health Policy & Management and director of the Risk Sciences and Public Policy Institute. She has worked across sectors in research and practice on a wide range of environmental and occupational health issues, focused on complex, cumulative risk challenges, vulnerable populations and aspects of variability and uncertainty.

About The Jacob I. & Irene B. Fabrikant Chair in Health, Risk & Society 

This professorship was established in 2000 by Dr. Irene B. Fabrikant, a distinguished teacher and researcher in the pathogenesis and prevention of infectious disease, in memory of her husband, Dr. Jacob I. Fabrikant, who was a pioneer in environmental radiology and a faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
