Although pregnancy can be a special and exciting time in a person’s life, up to one in five will experience Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMDAS)—such as anxiety, depression or bipolar. Not only do untreated PMADS affect a mother’s ability to live fully and enjoy her pregnancy, they also increase her risk for obstetrical complications and can compromise the wellness of her baby and family. Join Emese Parker, RN, MPH '11,  to learn more about the state of maternal mental health in the U.S., recent national policy developments, as well as practical tools, tips and resources to support mothers in your personal life and public health work.
