Please join the ICTR Community and Collaboration Core for our next Team Science Coffee Break featuring Michael Rosen, PhD. This session will provide theory and evidence-based tools for structuring teams to support effective collaboration and avoid negative forms of conflict. As a group, we’ll discuss strategies and lessons learned for managing tough situations in teams: when we hit roadblocks, when plans don’t go according to plan, and when relationships sour.

About the Speaker:

Michael Rosen, PhD is a Human Factors Psychologist and Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine and also a Principal Faculty of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality where he studies how people and technology jointly create safety in high-risk environments. Dr. Rosen is Assistant Director for Team Science at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, and Director for Research at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Simulation Center. You can view his complete bio on LinkedIn.

About the Target Audience:
This workshop is appropriate for members of translational science and biomedical teams interested in improving their ability to lead or work within research teams effectively. Whether you are starting a new team or seeking to enhance the effectiveness of your current team, this coffee break will provide you with insights and tools to apply in your work.
