About the Event
A top priority for injury control is to ensure the broad implementation of evidence-based overdose prevention strategies. This seminar provides fundamental information about the concepts, terminology, and intervention strategies that will be covered in presentations throughout the term. Dr. Johnson will discuss drug control policies in the US and provide an overview of overdose prevention strategies.
This seminar is part of the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy's Graduate Seminar in Injury Research and Policy. The seminars are open to anyone in the general public interested in injury prevention. We are enthusiastic for participants to join alongside the students pursuing the Certificate in Injury and Violence Prevention at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Seminars are online via Zoom and typically include a 45-minute presentation with 15 minutes for Q&A and discussion.
