The Engaging Lecture is a Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL): Teaching Toolkit Workshop aimed at faculty, students, and subject matter experts (SMEs) alike. The session will focus on refining a traditionally passive pedagogical approach into an active opportunity for learning. The overall goal is to understand that engaging our learners happens when we put them in the center of the lecture's design. To reach that goal, we will discuss how engagement, access, and inclusion lead to a stronger, better presentation.

In attending the workshop, you may not be ready for a TED Talk, but you will be ready to rethink your presentations, moving past the rut of the "sage on the stage" and into the more impactful and effective role as a catalyst for learning.

NOTE: This special 45-minute CTL Teaching Toolkit Workshop will be offered synchronously, both on-campus in room W2029 (Howell Room) and online via Zoom, with equal opportunities for participation. We ask that all attendees register in advance.
