Baltimore City is home to approximately 600,000 residents in over 250 neighborhoods. Each neighborhood boasts their own personality and sense of community, but unfortunately not each can boast access to needed resources and support. The neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Curtis Bay in southwest Baltimore are two areas where residents often don’t have access to the resources that are vital to healthy neighborhoods such as reliable transportation, fresh and healthy food, and affordable preventative and emergency healthcare. Over the past several years Del. Lewis has worked with the Brooklyn and Curtis Bay communities to bring additional resources to these areas. Join us for a conversation to discuss what is at stake in these two neighborhoods, what needs the communities have identified, and what is possible for the health of these communities and neighborhoods.
