Spatial Correlation, Trade, and Inequality: Evidence from the Global Climate

Professor Kyle Meng
Bren School of Environmental Science & Management
UC Santa Barbara

The talk (PDF link) is about climate change impacts with a focus on how the global scale of climate change has been largely neglected by estimates of climate impacts to date. The paper combines international trade theory with empirics using geophysical features of the El Nino Southern Oscillation as a global natural experiment.
